NEO Closes the Market on International Womens Day in Support of Gender Equality
Toronto – March 8, 2018 – Representatives of Ring the Bell for Gender Equality partners, including Women in ETFs Canadian Chapter Co-Head, Deborah Frame, joined Jos Schmitt – President and CEO, NEO, to close the NEO Exchange in celebration of International Women’s Day 2018. Leslie Byberg – Executive Director, Ontario Securities Commission, Florence Narine – Senior Vice-President, Product, AGF Investments Inc., Vendana Juneja – Senior Director, Corporate Engagement: Canada & Asia Pacific, and John Valley – Partner, Osler, honoured the celebration with their participation.
This fourth annual event series is a partnership of Women in ETFs and UN Women, together with the Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative, UN Global Compact, the IFC and the World Federation of Exchanges. The market open and close ceremonies raise awareness about the opportunities for the private sector to advance gender equality and sustainable development. This year’s iteration focused on the theme “Press for Progress”.
